Jewish Agencies in Palm Beach Area to Host Multi-Generational Community Holocaust Remembrance Event on May 1
Program to Feature Youth Telling Survivor Stories and "Paper Clips" Presentation

West Palm Beach, FL (April 14, 2008) - Jewish agencies in Palm Beach County Jewish will be hosting a multi-generational Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) event on Thursday, May 1 at 7:30 pm at The Tradition of the Palm Beaches, 4920 Loring Drive in West Palm Beach.
The title for this program is "The Legacy of Courage Continues - In the Voice of Our Youth." Highlights for this program will include dramatic readings of survivor stories, based upon interviews with young people from Jewish Teen Initiative have done with area Holocaust survivors, as well as a special presentation from young people who played a major role in the Tennessee-based "Paper Clips" project which became an award-winning documentary.
This commemorative event is a collaboration of MorseLife, the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, the Jewish Teen Initiative, the Ferd & Gladys Alpert Jewish Family and Children’s Service, the Florida Atlantic University and the Palm Beach County Board of Rabbis.
