Shavuot Recipes
Apricot Noodle Kugel
- 8 oz. medium noodles, cooked and drained
- ¼ cup margarine, melted
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3 beaten eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup apricot juice
- ¾ cup cut up dried apricots
Topping
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 ½ tsp. cinnamon
- 1 cup crushed corn flakes
- 2 tbsp. margarine
Combine noodles with remaining ingredients and pour into greased casserole. Combine topping ingredients (except margarine) and sprinkle
over casserole. Cut up margarine and sprinkle that as well over the top. Bake in a 350 oven for one hour.
Cheesecake
- 2 pounds cream cheese
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 6 tbsp. melted butter
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Mix together graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar. Press mixture onto the bottom of a pan and place in freezer for
10 minutes.
- Cream together 3/4 cup of sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in sour cream until blended. Pour into
crust.
- Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes. Turn oven off and leave cake in oven with the door slightly ajar for two hours.
